    Hi dcassara,

We added the choice between “Authorize & Capture” / “Authorize only” in revision 1.0.2 of the plugin

Hope this can help you ??

GREAT! Do you know how you would change that transaction to capture after the service is rendered? Would you go into your Authorize.net portal and “release” it?
Or can you do it through your plug-in? If so, would that person have to be signed in to the web site?

Also, We are using wooCommerce with a deposit amount before service. The user can create an account to pay (“authorize”) the deposit, but after delivery of the service we don’t want to depend on them remembering their account information to log in and pay the remaining amount.
Also, we will want to change the “authorized” deposit amount to “capture” if they do a late cancellation.
But, if there is no late cancellation fee (the deposit), we will cancel that “authorized” transaction and take a card reader on location and charge the full amount, because there are tips involved, and then there would only be one transaction instead of two separate transactions.
(We are assuming that we cannot change the “authorized” deposit amount to the full amount without them logging in – is that correct?)
We know the “authorized” deposit amount will expire on it’s own, but how can we cancel that so their funds are not tied up?
Is there a better or easier way to accomplish only having one transaction on delivery (with tips) but having the deposit held until the we know they will not cancel?

    Hi again!

It seems your requests are quite peculiar, and these are beyond the simple plugin modes; YITH WooCommerce Authorize.net is a payment gateway and, as such, its aim is to ensure WC order payments.

About the “Authorized only” transaction, the administrator has to log in manually with his Authorize account and complete (capture) the payments (i.e., when the deposit has to be collected).

For the further doubts, I suggest you to contact the Authorize.net support service, as they will be able to answer your questions for sure about the amount modification of the transaction (honestly I don’t think it is possible) and about the deleting of transactions.

I hope I have helped you with my two cents
    Have a nice day ??
