Authorize Payment Gateway cutting out

This problem began on Sunday FEB 28.
The Authorize plugin returned an Error 13 saying merchant ID and password were invalid. Then – suddenly – – the Error would go away and orders would begin processing again.
It was fine for a bit, and now it’s happening again. Error 13 and it’s saying merchant ID and password are invalid or the account is inactive.
What is going on? Orders are failing and customers are very concerned – – as are WE! HELP!
