So when testing a live payment for the first time, we noticed that the “Authorize Only” setting places the order into processing and that we then have to go to the CardConnect dashboard to finish processing the payment.

When we were using the Payeezy Gateway plugin for processing payments, an order that was set to “Authorize Only” would go into a status of “Pending”. Then we could go in an check the order. If everything was good, we could change the status to processing, or add to the order if need be and change to processing.

Why can the CardConnect plugin do this right from the WooCommerce order?

  • We second this but just because we would love to make the status “Payment Pending” when using only Authorize. In our case we want exactly that (to authorize later on in virtual terminal) but it should not be marked as “processing” like it would do for Authorize&Capture

    Hi,

I’m looking into this currently as a new feature. I’m guessing others may not need this, so I propose adding it in and allowing the admin to chose if the order should be processing or pending. I think a simple checkbox would do.

@consultr @fluiditystudio I’m going to close this, as any changes to the plugin going forward must go through FiServe first, and that process can take some time.
It is on my list of things to add.
Hopefully, changes like this can be fast tracked in the future.
