Authorization is failing – “client_id” parameter

  • Authorization is failing. When I click “Get Authorisation Code and Access Token” I get the following error message:

    You need to pass the “client_id” parameter

    Everything has been setup in LinkedIn and I keep refreshing the pages, no luck.

    Are you using the latest version of LinkedIn Auto Publish ?
    What do you mean by “Get Authorisation Code and Access Token” ?
    In order to publish to LinkedIn using LinkedIn Auto Publish, you need only client id and Client secret. And also set the website url and authorized redirect url as specified in the settings page as Note.
    Please go through the documentation and let us know if any issues/doubts.

    Yes, I downloaded it yesterday and set it up according to the documentation provided. When I’m at the last step and click “Get Authorisation Code and Access Token”, I get to an error page that has the note “You need to pass the “client_id” parameter” and there is nothing else on the page.
