Authorization header not found.

  • I’m trying to test the plugin with my custom endpoints and am having some difficulty. I’ve successfully created a token and have added this to my header.

    Authorization: Bearer e...<snip>

    When I attempt to validate the token I get the following returned:

    {"code":"jwt_auth_no_auth_header","message":"Authorization header not found.","data":{"status":403}}

    I’m running this on MAMP on my local development machine, and have modified the wp-config.php to include the secret key and have modified my .htaccess file too.

  • Modified .htaccess file as following then it works for me, my WordPress installed on on folder /wp1/:

    RewriteRule ^(.*) – [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%1]
    RewriteBase /wp1/
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ – [E=X-HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization},QSA,L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /wp1/index.php [E=X-HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization},QSA,L]
