    Im having an issue with placing orders…both in sandbox and live/production. I get this error when attempting to checkout:

    • Unable to create order{“name”:”NOT_AUTHORIZED”,”details”:[{“issue”:”NOT_AUTHORIZED”,”description”:”NOT_AUTHORIZED”}],”message”:”Authorization failed due to insufficient permissions.”,”debug_id”:”e0e4a423e50c6″,”links”:[{“href”:”https://developer.paypal.com/docs/api/orders/v2/#error-NOT_AUTHORIZED”,”rel”:”information_link”,”method”:”GET”}]}

    I really have no idea if this is a paypal account issue, or if its perhaps something from the plugin side.

    All the API credentials are in place for the WPS Paypal Payment gateway and verified. Also have a webhook in place on the paypal side, but your gateway doesn’t request the webhook id.

    I am using the free version of the plugin. Thank you for any insight you can provide!

    Thank you for your prompt response! I am in the US, so probably not the problem? Paypal Support has (finally) responded with a clue, that our business account API is missing the ‘VAULT’ setup, which apparently has to be in place for any Subscription/Membership recurring payment to work properly. Thus the “…insufficient permissions…” error.

    I am new to this processing method, but really wish they (Paypal) had better documentation on what must be in place for recurring payments to process properly on their end. There is a whole series of steps to obtain that approval, starting with having “advanced credit card processsing” which is not a click of the button. You have to be ‘approved’ by Paypal to be able to do that….then you can go through the approval process for VAULT activation. (For anyone reading, I may be misrepresenting the Paypal process, but that is what i gathered from my inquiry.)

    None the less, thank you so much for your help and development of a plugin that, according to the reviews, runs circles around the major contender.
