    Hi There!
I am really just in the getting started phase. Having test about half a dozen plugins, I’ve chosen yours. Great work!
However, the links associated with the author and the publisher are oddly incorrect, despite having entered their correct URLs under their respective tabs… Or perhaps the link is supposed to lead to some content. The links instead lead to a natively created page that contains no content save for the image header that I have used for the blog posts page. I must be doing something wrong.
    I take directions very well.
Can’t wait for the plugin’s documentation to be published.
    Thank you,
    Laura

    Hello,
The “Author”, “Publisher” and other such taxonomies are supposed to link to an auto-generated archive page showing all reviews of that taxonomy. So clicking the link “Sovaida Ma’ani Ewing” should have opened a page showing reviews of all books where the author is Sovaida Ma’ani Ewing.

If you want to create a link to the author’s website you can create a new custom metadata field for that.

    Try this:

    1. Go to “Extension” and activate “Custom User Metadata”.
    2. Create a new entry called “Author’s Website” and/or “Publishers Website”. Save Changes.
    3. Go to “Settings” then “Templates” then “Book Detail Items”.
    4. Add your newly created metadata fields to this list. Save setting.
    5. Edit your review and you’ll see your new metadata fields in the “General Information” section.
    6. Add your URL then update the review.

    That should work for you.

    Shout me if anything.

    Hi Kemory,
I will definitely follow the steps and report back. In the meantime, and now that I understand what the “author” link should do, well that would be super sweet if I could get that to work. Again. I have checked and rechecked my setting. I am sure I must have missed something. Have any thoughts on how to address that?
    Thank you!

Looking the URL you provided I can see that the author’s name is separated with an underscore, usually WP uses a dash in URL slugs. So you have /sovaida_maani_ewing/ but usually it should be /sovaida-maani-ewing/

Did you manually change the slug for the author?

I don’t know whether this will help, but on my site, I simply added “Author Website” as an extra option in the “store/shop” section of the “Book Purchase Links” on the “components” page.
