• Having an issue where google search console is complaining about “Error in required structured data element” for a category AMP page. If I run the structured data testing tool against it, it looks ok: it contains a CollectionPage, an ItemList, a WebSite, an Organization… the tool doesn’t flag any error but search console does. I suspect it might have to do with nesting/recursion of items contained within the collection. The CollectionPage contains items of @type NewsArticle.
When I looked within the items inside the CollectionPage, tho, I noticed a strange value for the Author @type –> it says “Thing” not “Person”.
I am not sure if this is coming from “vanilla” AMPforWP or from this schema&structured data plugin that integrates with it….
In the ‘single’ amp pages for those newsarticles, the author’s @type is – correctly shown as ‘person’. Just in the collection is not.

any clue or suggestion about where to look to understand if this is something that needs to be configured OR if it is a bug in the provided/default schemas of either one of the plugins?

I am not sure this will make search console happy, anyhow – but I think that ‘thing’ is not an allowed value for author’s @type, or am I wrong?

    Thanks a lot in advance,
