Author profile page

  • Hi,

    When an author writes a post he gets an author page that linka to all his articles, however my authors or writers want to have their profile/bio above their post links in a kind of “about the author” thing, yet when an author adds “About yourself” in user options, it doesn’t appear on his author page. Is there any way of hard coding a profile into an individual author’s page or am I doing something wrong to start with?

  • You should really spend more time in the Codex…
    It’s server is momentarily down but there is very complex article dedicated to Author Template.

    Yeah I think you’re right. I’m a bit of a newbie though and don’t really understand PHP that well but I must say, WordPress is a fantastic tool and more than easy enough for even simpletons like myself ??

    I guess it’s a case of getting stuck into the codex and reading word for word, trial and error etc.

    Anyway thanks for your help, much appreciated. The support on here is as good as WordPress itself.
