Author Pages – Where Are They Located?

  • Sorry for the Newbie question, I’ve read about Authors Pages, where do I find them or do I need a plugin and if so any recomendations on one and for newbies.

    Please redierect if already answered, couldn’t find.

    Would be the author page for the user: username

    Then you can customize this page by creating your own author.php template file if you know how!

    Google is also good for these basic WP questions because there’s so much documentation around ??

    Thanks, that just gives me a page with Excerpts by an Author. I didn’t realize that’s all an Author Page was, I assumed that it was an Author’s homepage like this one, sorry!

    I do not need to customize this page. Is there a built in system like the one linked above in WordPress or do I need to install something and if so any recommendation would be appreciated.

    Will try to google more, but you won’t believe how many hours I’ve spent reading through the Codex etc, thanks again for patience.
