author pages are being indexed and not sure why

  • Hi, i have just removed the paid version of Yoast as I am looking for a better alternative and I have just noticed that all of a sudden my author pages are being indexed. I always had these as not to index, what can i do to solve this.

  • The Yoast plugin sets them to not be indexed. If you remove that plugin you also remove that setting. The solution is to either re-install Yoast, or find another plugin that will do the same thing.
