Author Page Posts Not Found When Logged Out

I’m using the twenty ten theme and for some reason the author page returns a “not found” message for the admin author – but only when the user is not logged in. The link below shows screen shots of the author page for the ‘admin’ user for both logged in and logged out states.

Other author pages seem to show for both logged in and non logged in users.
