Author Page

  • Hi. Great theme. Love it. I am looking for some help. When you click on an author page on my site it displays as follows:

    Author: <span class=”vcard”>Author Name</span>

    How can I get the html code out so it displays just the author name and <span class=”vcard”></span> is removed?

    Also, in Posts settings I have show author name checked off but the author names do not show in any posts.

    Hello @sal5051, jumping in for Jarek here. The author not showing up on the posts is a bug, I have made note of this and we’ll be including a fix in our next update.

    For the span tags, can you please show us the URL or maybe a screen shot and we can try and figure this out? It could possibly be a plugin, so try disabling all plugins one by one and see if it helps.

    That’s how every author’s name appears on their author page.

    These are the widgets we’re using: search button, social icons, categories, text, author list.

    I just searched our entire code base for Kale and there is no mention of the above code in it. This is definitely coming from a plugin and you’ll need to first figure out which one, and then reach out to the plugin developers to see how this can be rectified.
