Author not receiving emails about comments made by admin

    Hi,

    I am not sure if the plugin offers this feature in FREE version.
    Default wordpress sends email to post authors when someone comments on their posts.

    But I am not receiving email for comments.
    Admin is receiving email for new posts.
    But the author is not receiving email for admin comments.

    Settings->Discussions-> Email me whenever checkboxes are checked.

    NOTE: Posts submitted by the author are private. only admin and the author will be able to see them.

    Kindly help me.

  • Hi @sravanig,

    Can you please try and comment as a guest or a normal user other than Admin?

    If you comment as admin you won’t get any notification.

    Thanks for your response.

    I have commented as a normal user. Neither admin nor the post author has received the mail about the comment.

    @sravanig,

    Do you receive other default WP emails from your server? Like new user email or reset password email??

    Install this plugin to check if the emails are triggered from WordPress. If they are triggered but not received in inbox then you need to configure your mail server.
