Author name showing full name even though it's set to show first name only

    My blog posts just started showing up with my full name (even though it was already set under Users to show first name only). Most of the posts are showing as full name, but a few have only my first name.

    I checked in the Users section and there is only one user with my name and it is set to show the first name only. I even removed the last name from the User and republished one of the posts and it STILL shows up with first and last name.

    I think this may be tied to the recent automatic update to WordPress 3.8.1, but I am not sure.

    I think the problem is the Jetpack Google+ addition, which seems to override the WP username and put in your Google+ real name.
