Author name not showing on post

  • Hello, I am a very new user of WordPress and put our first post on our blog with the Skirmish theme which we like very much. I noticed that the post on the main page does not show the name of the author. However, when I click the title and go to the permalink the post now shows the name of the author and the date/time posted??

    Can someone help me so I can have the author names posted on the main page
