Author name not displayed + icon for website

    Hello,
    the name of the authors at my website isn’t displayed – any ideas what I need to do?
    And I would like to insert an icon for the website. I prefer not to have the website written underneath the about-text, I would prefer an icon for the website. How can I do that? Is there a css-code I can apply?

    Hi,

    I’m not sure why the author name is not displayed but from what I can see it must be some other plugin or the theme filtering display_name and returning it as empty.

    As for the author website, you can disable the Appearance->Show author website option to hide it.

    Lastly, if you want to add icons for the user’s author box you can do that by editing their WordPress profile (wp-admin -> Users -> Edit) and adding them in the Social Media Links (Simple Author Box) section.

    Sorry I think we have misunderstood each other.
    I want the website to be visible, but not in text form under the About Me text, but as another icon in the row with the other social media icons.
    In the list with all the icons in the user-section there is none for www (usually a globe I think).
    Is there any way to add that?

    I just noticed that the author name is displayed on the product page, where the author box should not appear at all. So it can’t be due to the theme or another plugin that the name is not displayed under the posts, right?
