author name missing

    Upgraded from 2.86 to 2.9. I use default theme, no plugins or widgets.

    in 2.86, I was had author’s name appear next to date (blow the blog title):

    December 20th, 2009 by (NAME)

    But in 2.9, thre is no author’s name, only the date.

    Is this by design?

    Or is this something needs troubling shooting?

    Can someone guide me. Thanks
