• Hello,

I have this user who is an author on XX blog, and had permissions to the main blog and to that blog. Today, she logged in, and she only gets access to the network… She can’t access to the sites. When we check the db, we find this:

    | umeta_id | user_id | meta_key | meta_value |
    +———-+———+———————+———————————+
    | 5511 | 208 | et_451_capabilities | a:1:{s:6:”author”;b:1;} |
    | 26603 | 208 | et_capabilities | a:1:{s:11:”contributor”;b:1;} |

Tried to give her permission to other blog, yet she cannot go to that specific dashboard. What meta, or where should I look for more info on this issue?

    PS: Other users are fine.

When you (as super admin) log in, is she listed on those other sites as a member in wp-admin?

Yes, in the network link “Users” she appears linked to those sites. Other users aren’t affected, I add them to the very same blogs, and they work with no problems. We tried removing her from those blogs, then adding her back, but that didn’t do the job. It’s a code that hasn’t been updated in months, we haven’t added any plugins in around 5 months. But the failure happened last week…

You’re still on WP 3.5.1? If you’ve been updating themes and plugins during this time, that may be why.

You have to update WP regularly.

Nope. We haven’t updated plugins nor themes (use our own theme). All code, upgrades and updates have been frozen for months, to make this huge update to the latest version. We have scheduled to update everything this week, but we haven’t moved any code when this problem arised. I really don’t know where to look anymore in the data base for solving this. Her meta data seems to be the same as any other user, yet she’s the only one with the issue.

    What plugins are you running?

Have you tried logging in as her? No offense intended, but users are generally poor at explaining things ??

LOL, yes, completely understandable. But yes, I already did all that. Only plugins running are: WP User Avatar, FeedWordPress and a OAuth2 Connector.

Logged into her account, no sites appear. Only the network. As I said before, I already compared her to another user, removing and giving back the permissions, not only to her blog but many others from the same network, but yet, she can’t see them, while the other user can.

    OAuth2 Connector

Oh. THAT sounds suspect. Could she have broken that?

    Thread Starter Furiael

    (@furiael)

But could she have broken it only for herself? Because she can actually LOG in, but no permissions to her blog (which appear in capabilities) are reflected on the admin. :/

Well I should rephrase, could it be broken for her? Can you disconnect oauth and reconnect it for her account?
