Author link below each post, directs me to a blank screen

See if you can reproduce the exact same problem with another theme?

Or inspect your theme files and look if the_author_link exists and/or if it’s properly coded.
Check Function_Reference/the_author_link

i cannot seem to find a theme that has that same function, and the theme does not even have the_author_link anywhere

it uses the the_author_posts_link(); instead, so i believe when the link is clicked upon, i am suppose to see all the post from that author…..or does it does something specific
