Author information cannot be edited

  • Hi,

    This plug-in had been working great for me. However, I just tried to add a new testimonial and the author information field can’t be edited. Clicking on the field does nothing and no cursor appears in the text box.

    I also checked my existing testimonials which have author information added already. The author information field is blank and also cannot be edited.

    I already tried enabling and disabling the plugin but this had no effect.

    Any suggestions for a fix would be greatly appreciated.

  • Same problem here James, but I found it’s because everything in that box is ‘white’ text so if you enter author information anyway and then highlight it you will see that it’s there, and it will show on the front end. It’s just rather annoying.

    I had another look to see if I could copy and paste text as a workaround.

    Unfortunately, in my case, I’m not even getting the i-beam cursor which indicates the presence of a text or text box. It’s not possible to highlight text on existing testimonials.

    I believe there could be a clash with some other plugin you may be using James; I have now removed this plugin and uploaded another called ‘Strong Testimonials’ and am getting the self same problem with the text box (in Visual). However this Testimonial Rotator continues to work well on three other of my websites.
