    Hi,

I have Starbox on our website, and it’s working reasonably well, however the ‘Author Info’ section once clicked in to an Author’s name, tries to show their Gravatar and not their Author Image – which is surely what it should show, any mention of the Authors Image should be the one I uploaded.

How can I go about fixing this?

    Hey,

The author page is part of the theme and it can not be changed from a plugin.

You have to add a widget in the author box with [starbox] shortcode in it.

To prevent the old author box from showing, you have to add the author description in profile in the custom description and not the default bio description.

    Thanks.

I don’t suppose there is a way to show a different layout there?

It seems to always use the Global setting for layout, and we use the Topstar one, which doesnt quite sit where it should. I could style it, but would prefer to use Minimal there. Or get just the image and description and write a custom one.

    Thanks

Starbox can use just one theme once.
If you use multiple shortcodes in posts and/or widgets will use the latest theme or the default one.

You can use the shortcode with the theme in it [shortcode theme=”minimal”]

    Kind regards

Not sure if it’s relevant to this issue, but after installing the StarBox plugin I lost all the users images.
I uploaded an image angain, but when I look at the users.php page I don’t see it. I do see it on the blog post now.
    Any ideas?

    Hey,

Starbox doesn’t delete images, it lets you upload your custom image. If you don’t the gravatar.com image is the default one.

Maybe you have a permission error in the /wp-content/uploads/gravatar/ directory. Please set the directory to chmod 0775

    Kind regards
    Calin
