Author filter

Not sure why but for a trial I exported around 230 posts and printed the first page. It printed in too tiny letters although I selected normal (theme default) font size … can’t even read. Any help?

Had to delete the plugin. Most probably it used lots of server resources while creating big pdf file and although my hosting plan is of top class (allows high CPU usage and other resources) the plugin apparently freaked the server out and the site is now blocked for limited time…during peak hours.

Hi @mayapurvoice, thanks for chiming in. This is the first time that’s been requested, but it would probably only be a few hours to add that feature.

Regarding the font size, what theme are you using? Also, what browser? When printing, most browsers allow you to scale the printout. Might increasing the scaling help?

Regarding it bringing the site down, I’m really sorry to hear that. That’s the first time I’ve heard of that. I’ve seen it where the print page becomes so big and has so much Javascript running on it that it slows the browser down, but not that the server itself shuts down completely. I’d obviously like to avoid this type of thing in the future. Mind if I ask who is your host? Did you receive any error codes when visiting the site and it was down?

FYI used the hosted version of Print My Blog to generate the print page of your site (you can try it here). That’s almost identical to using the plugin (except it doesn’t use your blog’s styles) and produces the same load. It didn’t bring the site down (at least that time). Although there were a few images that didn’t load properly (which can be avoided by increasing the “Post Rendering Time”, documented here.)
I’d like to work with you to resolve the issues you experienced but it sounds like you’ve moved onto other things. If this issue gets closed to new replies, feel free to open a new one.
