Author counts fail to update

    This plugin works fine when you only publish posts from the author’s account.

    In my case it is failing in these two cases:

    1. I had an author A that I deleted and this author’s articles were assigned to author B. Now the plugin shows the author value in these articles as blank, and has a new row with a “blank” author in the author statistics, rather than showing these belong to author B.

    2. I published a post using my admin account, but changed the author of the post when I published it to author C. The plugin does not recognize that at all, it shows this article under the admin user.

    I would appreciate some help in trying to fix these issues.

  • Thanks for making this report.

    Issue #1, in the free version, should be fixed by deactivating and activating the plugin again. This will cause a recalculation to occur which should reassign the counts correctly. That’s not a really great solution but I hope to someday include the same optional, manual calculation the Pro version has into the free release but I can’t make promises when that will happen.

    Issue #2 is definitely a bug and I’m working on getting the fix out soon.

    Thank you for the reply Brian, deactivating and reactivating the plugin fixed both issues for me!

    Thanks for the quick reply, happy to purchase the pro version to help with development. ??
