Author box is not visible in custom post type

    When I open a custom post type there is no visible author box for me to chagne the author. I have checked the screen options section to see if i need to enable it but it is not listed in there.

    When I go into Author > Settings the checkbox is ticked for the specific custom post type I am trying to use this with.

    The author box is visible when editing normal posts but not the custom post types.

    Could you inform us how did you create the CPT? Is it using some specific plugin?

    We will try to replicate the issue and see if it’s a bug on our side.

    It was created by another developer. It has been created via the “Go Portfolio” plugin.

    Can you check if by deactivating PublishPress Authors, you could see default Author metabox on that CPT?

    If I deactivate PublishPress Authors plugin, there is still no option for author editing on the CPT or on the default WP posts either.

    When I re-enable the PublishPress Authors plugin, the Authors box comes back for the default WP posts but still not for the CPT.

    I have a feeling this issue is with the CPT that you created, since if you deactivated PublishPress Authors, you still not see default author metabox.

    Have you tried contact Go Portfolio support about this?
