Here’s how to add alt text to your author avatar by creating a custom setup:
Click “Edit site” on the top of any post page to edit your post template. Find the Author block, turn off “Show avatar” in its settings in right sidebar. Add your own Image block before it and upload author photo. You can add alt text to this image in the right sidebar settings.
To keep everything aligned nicely, wrap both the Image and Author blocks in a Row (change the Group block to Row type in settings).
