    Getting an error on checkout that there is an authentication issue. Client already updated Microsoft 365 credentials , but this errors still seems to to pop up:

    test via SMTP plugin test tool also showed

    It’s an Office 365 account configuration issue. Follow the below guide and screenshot and configure the account again.

    Hmm, well all settings like using TLS, SSL, port 587, smtp.office365.com en type SMTP is all good. Authenticated SMTP is also checked for the MS account. Still however seeing

    So will ask client to check Microsoft 365 username and password one more time. Perhaps password is wrong or username is not the one he used and allowed SMTP authentication for..

    Going to check authorized domains to see if domain we use Post SMTP on is listed. If not we need to add, add email alias and add DNS record.

    Turned off plugin for now. Authentication issue does not get clarified as error message is vague and we tried all. Using PHP Mail and WP Mail SMTP on PHP Mail for now. Latter this plugin can probably do too. But what is the point if we cannot use SMTP in the first place?

    It seems like a configuration issue; You need to share the Post SMTP Settings > Account tab and Message tab screenshot so that I can review it and get back to you with a solution.
