• Our Salesforce Administration team have completed the Pardot set-up on the back-end so I now have Consumer Key, Consumer Secret and Business Unit ID for plugin authentication purposes. But the authentication failed. Error message as follows:

    error=redirect_uri_mismatch&error_description=redirect_uri%20must%20match%20configuration

    Then I try to authenticate via Pardot credentials and it also fails. This is a disappointing start after having switched from Hubspot. Please can you advise on how to fix this.

    Thanks

    Hey @jimwwright,

    Does your Callback URL in the connect app match the URL of the Pardot settings screen? It should be something like https://domain.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=pardot.

    For regular Pardot authentication, try clicking “Reset All Settings”, check your credentials, and try again. Make sure you have IP security configured properly: https://trailblazer.salesforce.com/issues_view?id=a1p3A000000EAHVQA4

    I can see the callback url in Salesforce > Apps > Manage Connected Apps > Pardot_Connected_app but when I look in Pardot Settings screen there is no field called “Callback url”. So where should I be looking? Thx

    @jimwwright This callback URL is only set on the connected app in Salesforce.

    i too am having the same issue. @jimwwright were you able to resolve this?

    researching this more I do see that the Callback URL field in SalesForce Connected App should be https://YOURDOMAIN/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=pardot
    I no longer get this weird error

    error=redirect_uri_mismatch&error_description=redirect_uri%20must%20match%20configuration

    however it still doesn’t authenticate. Takes me through a few steps. Even sends code to my email for MFA and then on the last step when I confirm the window closes and the ‘Not Authenticated’ message is still in the Pardot admin.

    My URL is now
    MYDOMAIN/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=pardot&display=popup&code=aPrxHLAg3XMmPXvGfAQ1fHkQk6AhgX44AjHZ.G6Q7uGRlfRF2mRIx5iyDAG7TmHq_dkU_yCPbg%3D%3D&state=c268bd836c5fc7e469e130b168a3c27c69d6eaf6&status=success

    which seems to indicate status success.

    This is beyond frustrating.

    The callback URL has HTTPS and I check the box while authenticating, still I get the same error.

    error=redirect_uri_mismatch&error_description=redirect_uri%20must%20match%20configuration

    Just wondering if I must reinstall the plugin.

    Hi @cliffseal – is there any update for this? We have tried the changes mentioned above, but still no luck.

    We get this error:
    error=redirect_uri_mismatch&error_description=redirect_uri%20must%20match%20configuration

    And we tried to validate the Pardot way and this didn’t work either.

    What other steps can we try?

    Thanks,

    Steve
