Authenticate users with OAuth

    Hi !
    Thanks a lot for your work on this API.

    I have a problem understanding something about the OAuth Authentication.

    I am developping an mobile hybrid app and I’d like people to authenticate themselves on my app.

    My issue is I don’t understand how I am supposed to check their passwords.
    If I understood the documentation well, I would have to get a consumer key and secret for each user and it seems a little complicated for me. I don’t want to redirect users on a webpage to log in so that I can get new credentials for a specific user.

    I think I’m missing the point here and I don’t understand I can’t find my answer anywhere.

  • from the past one week I am facing the same problem, please someone help… for my own self hosted wordpress site…. i want to create an official android (hybrid) app in which users should be able to login with their normal user accounts on the site…. without prompting to AUTHORIZE stuff….because its official app for the site.

    i read it’s done in OAuth2 with grant_type=password and resource owner credentials flow… but for this plugin there is Oauth1.0a …. please help!!

    Hi Ndrulz, your post actually explained the problem to me and I found this issue on Oauth plugin for WP.
