Audio Player Problem in IOS

  • I’m using WordPress 5.6
    and using WordPress Internal Audio Player .
    Everything is ok on all major browsers , PC , Android , Except IOS .

    In IOS browsers ( safari , firefox , etc ) its turn to Live Broadcast with no Progress Bar ,like the image below :

    And its not working well . its allways stop playing the music in the middle and also play the music with noise in a way It seems files are corrupted .

    I think its happening because its try to broadcast the Audio Live from my server . because when i use Audio with Link to another server ( Use Audio Player URL Option ) The Audio Player works well with Progress bar.

    Anyone know how can i figure out this problem ?

    I’m not able to reproduce this issue myself, so this may just be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty-One theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

    If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Thank for the reply ,
    I did the test with all plugins off and default wordpress theme, and the problem still exist .

    I think the problem is related to server side . also I’m using cloudflare that can be a player in this problem .

    Because when i use external url/resrouce for Audio Player , its works well , but when i choose media from my wordpress media library problem appeared .
    and also consider this that the problem appears just in IOS browser apps.

    any idea ?

    Is this any media file or just that one? What is the file’s format?

    The file format is MP3 ,
    Almost all the files has this problem when i browse the site in IOS .
    I also created a Audio Playlist and it has this problem too .

    I created a test you can checkout if has access to IOS os ,

    Ok, so this was very interesting, and I learned a bit about how iOS handles audio now. ??

    What you’re seeing is actually correct for inserting audio via a domain that is not your site. iOS considers it a broadcast because your site is broadcasting it from elsewhere.

    That’s a site running WordPress 5.6 with Twenty Twenty-One 1.1, viewed with Safari on an iPhone 12 running iOS 14.3.

    As you can see, uploaded audio works as expected, but the one inserted via URL is reporting as a broadcast.

    This appears to be something baked into iOS, so it can’t be changed, the only solution would be to upload the file.

    But I uploaded files into my wordpress media library.
    what do you mean by “upload the file” ?

    I think In your test ( screenshot ) file appear as broadcast because its loading from my server , and as i mentioned before , its seems the problem related to my server config ( maybe )

    as i mentioned before :

    what do you mean by “upload the file” ?

    When adding the audio, choose “Upload” and not “Insert from URL.”

    If that’s still not working, then yes this could be a server configuration issue. You’ll need to get in touch with your hosting provider’s support about that.
