    Hi,

I just wanted to report, what I think is a bug: whenever someone clicks in the info hotspot, as soon as the pop up appears, the audio stops and the speaker on the right corner is muted.

If someone wants to listen to the audio he needs to manually restart it; this behavior is a little bit confusing for the users.

    Thank you.

  • Hi @magdalene1978 ,

You see, this is actually how we designed it. We a viewer wants to view any info or images through hotspots, we want them to focus only on the hotspot content.

That is because the hotspot content itself can have another audio or video content.

Now, when they’re closing the window, we can add the option to restart the background audio.

Do you have any suggestion on your end how you want to use it or are you looking for just a simple restart of the audio?

    Let us know.

    Hi,
    Thank you for the reply.
Well, I am using only images and texts in my hotspots, as the majority is. What you are talking is about the “hover” function and its content. But that’s no good for mobile users. And you know that nowadays, the 70% of users that visit a webpage come from a smartphone.

I would like to have the option on the backend, that the audio could override the hotspots and not turned off. When someone clicks an info box, he rarely views a video or listens to an audio. But if someone does, only then the audio must stop.

This is no good for museum or religious sites, that do not use external links. So, please, because audio to some is necessary, add an option that could override the hotspots and be turned off only, when someone activates a hotspots. That is, when someone wants for really to view the contents of a hotspot, like a video or something.

Thanky you very much for this wonderful plugin and have a happy new year!

    Hi @magdalene1978 ,

    Thank you for explaining.

You’re absolutely right about issue on Mobile devices. An we have an option to solve this.

From our plugin settings, you can turn off the Hover content option entirely for mobile users.

About your suggestion with the audio, we’ll try to improve it and make it more responsive while closing & opening hotspots content in the first quarter of next year.

Have a great day & Happy Holidays.
