Audio Playlist

    In wordpress.com it is possible to embed the audio player with multiple audio files (playlist), see here. Currently, this is not possible with the jetpack plugin. There is also the plugin Jetpack Easy Playlists which does not work anymore either. The author says that the native playlist support of wordpress has to be fixed. I also did some google searching and found some workarounds (e.g. using old shortcodes, modifying shortcodes.php) which also do not work anymore.

    So will there be a playlist support in the future? Are there workarounds for this issue at the moment?

    I did some further research to understand the playlist situation a bit better. I think the last action around this topic was this ticket:

    You found the right ticket! We’re working on porting WordPress.com’ playlist feature to Jetpack, but as you can see in the ticket we ran into some issues. We’ll get this fixed and add the feature to Jetpack in a future update. Do not hesitate to add yourself in cc of the ticket to follow our progress on this.
