I have recently moved all my MP3s linked to the sermons to Google Drive. I went through individually and changed the urls to the MP#s via the wordpress admin. Everything went smootly.

However now I notice in my wordpress feed that there are different urls to the MP3s one to the new google drive url and another to the previous url (which doesn’t have any mp3s anymore)

There is now issues with the itunes feed saying that the download is temporally unavailable.

Feed validator is telling me that there are multiple enclosures which is messing things up.

How do I fix it?

Hello Andy,

Several factors are going on at the same time which might be confusing you a bit. First, the transition from one file source to the other file source takes a while for iTunes podcast to catch up with because they only refresh feeds on a schedule. You will eventually notice that all URLs will be pointing to the new source after a while.

The main problem is the double enclosures. I’m not sure when that started happening but its happening because your WP install (probably your theme specifically) is generating enclosures for every MP3 file it detects. In addition, SM is injecting enclosure tags for every MP3 file.

We are currently working on an update to SM that will eliminate that problem but in the mean time you either have to stop your theme/WP from generating the enclosure tags (i suggest a functionality plugin or the like) or hack SM to stop generating its enclosure tags (see podcast-functions.php).

Nice site BTW. I think you guys nailed the multi-cultural vision of your church dead-on. I appreciate focused and appealing presentations of the greatest institution given to the world: the local church.

Thanks for the ideas you presented. I ended up just changing the entries in the database for the most recent talks (which would be displayed in the feed). Only look an hour or so, which I figured would have been quicker than looking for a global solution. Worked a treat.
