    Hi! Sorry to bother you again. I really couldn’t find any solutions to this.

    I embed a video and an audio on each lesson. I copied the SoundCloud private URL just as I did before, but the image is not displaying in the page, but only the text URL. This is no good, because in unaesthetic, but also because people can just copy it and share it.

    Do you have a solution for this? I’m using the last version of lifterLMS and I tried already logging out and back in, reseting sound cloud links, etc.

    Thanks!

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • @tzvibendaniel,

    Can you provide me with a link to the soundcloud URL?

    Since lessons are not publicly accessible I can’t check this out on your site.

    If you can provide me with a URL I can attempt to recreate the issue on my local site and see what’s happening.

    Thanks,

    @tzvibendaniel,

    I see you have PayPal — If you submit a support ticket from your account dashboard at https://lifterlms.com/my-account/my-tickets we’ll be able to help you a lot faster!

    We check the forums here frequently but via support tickets you’ll get a much faster response time!

    If you submit a ticket just drop a link to this thread so we can get up to speed on the context without you having to repeat yourself.

    Thanks

    Hey Thomas, I would LOVE (and NEED) faster support, but is my bad, I can’t access my account and I lost my proof of purchase, so… here we are.

    SoundCloud link is https://soundcloud.com/tzvi-ben-daniel/12-contexto-historico-babel/s-6VAUk
    thankful for your help

    @tzvibendaniel,

    Your URL is not working in either the LifterLMS fields (which is powered by WordPress core oEmbed functionality) nor does it work when trying to simply embed via WordPress core methods. For example, grab that same URL and add it to a regular WP page inside the [embed] shortcode from the WP core:

    [embed]https://soundcloud.com/tzvi-ben-daniel/12-contexto-historico-babel/s-6VAUk[/embed]

    This will provide you with the same behavior you’re encountering when using it in LifterLMS (we use the same function that powers the shortcode for the audio field).

    So it looks to me like there’s something wrong with this particular stream or URL. I’m not personally a SoundCloud user so I’m not sure if there’s maybe some amount of security or privacy settings that could be preventing an embed? You mentioned “Private Link” in your first post so I’m wondering if that’s the issue.

    Best

    Hey, so, I have a similar SoundCloud link I used for the first class, and it displayed, so I’m not sure what’s the problem. I tried deleting the track and re uploading but same thing…. I even tried with a different audio upload platform.

    I am using SoundCloud for free and because that’s the most popular one, but don’t particularly care about them. Do you have a platform you recommend that displays all the links?

    Just for future viewers, the way I went around that is to send the link through my MailChimp autorresponder. Another option, would be to add a link to the description of the Quiz.

    Thanks!

    @tzvibendaniel,

    SoundCloud is good and I haven’t had a lot of reports issues with SoundCloud.

    The fact that this isn’t displaying when using WP Core functions even (again LifterLMS users core functions here) leads me to believe that this is an issue resulting from some kind of setting in SoundCloud. I don’t really know what it is but I have no real way of fixing this… I’m sorry…

    Maybe you could request some assistance from SoundCloud?

    Not sure but it was but in the next lesson it displayed without problems…so, just flowing with it. One lesson at a time.
    Thanks!

    @tzvibendaniel,

    I have no idea how to explain this but glad you’ve got it working!
