    Hi There

    I’m having some strange things happen when I try to use the default iframe links to post recordings/podcasts hosted on Audio Acrobat on my blog at https://evolvingtimes.com.

    It seemed to work fine until I did two things:

    First I upgraded to the latest version 2.0.4 (Great job, by the way).

    Second I switched from the default theme to Regulus 2.1.3 – which I love.

    Now, when I place the iframe links to Audio Acrobat, I lose my entire sidebar, all the blog entries below the audio entry dissapear, and, if I have any Amazon.com affiliate links in the sidebar, they get embedded in the entry with the Audio Acrobat link.

    It’s bizarre and frustrating.

    This is the code I get from Audio Acrobat:

    <!-- AudioAcrobat.com Player code BEGIN -->
    <div class="aaplayer"><iframe src="https://www.audioacrobat.com/playweb?audioid=Pc0f7b55efe5476abe27d06038b13911fZ199RFREYmBx&amp;buffer=5&amp;shape=2&amp;fc=FFCC00&amp;pc=AAAAFF&amp;kc=888800&amp;bc=FFFFFF&amp;brand=1&amp;player=bp14" height="32" width="84" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe><br/><a rel="enclosure" href="https://www.audioacrobat.com/export/Pc0f7b55efe5476abe27d06038b13911fZ199RFREYmBx.mp3"><img src="https://www.audioacrobat.com/images/buttons/downloadmp3.gif" width="72" height="16" border="0" alt="MP3 File"/></a></div>
    <!-- AudioAcrobat.com Player code END -->

  • Took a peek, didn’t notice any Audio Acrobat… Sidebar looks fine.

    Hi Yosemite

    Yeah, I took it out, since it was all messed up. If you need to look at it live, I can paste it back in there. In fact, I’ll go ahead and do that now.

    Thanks

    Ok I re-entered the Audio Acrobat info and the sidebar has gone away as have all the entries below the audio. Obviously I don’t want to leave it this way for too long. So let me know what you think.

    Thanks
    ed

    OK – you took it out, right?

    Ok. I figured out a way to leave a messed up post online so that you can check it out, without having the entire blog messed up. I posted it to last year so, in order to see the goofy post/sidebar/etc., you have to go to, https://evolvingtimes.com/?m=200501 by date. Or
    https://evolvingtimes.com/?cat=1 by Category. Or
    https://evolvingtimes.com/?p=33 The offending post itself.

    Hope this makes it easier to see what’s going on.

    Thanks

    Hi Again

    I just found this faq on the Audio Acrobat site. I’ll try it and let you know if it works.

    How Do I Publish AudioAcrobat Players to WordPress?
    To get AudioAcrobat player HTML code to work in WordPress, wrap the AudioAcrobat player HTML code with this tag:

    Here is an example:

    <p><code><!-- AudioAcrobat.com Player code BEGIN --></p>
    <div class="aaplayer">
    <iframe src="https://www.audioacrobat.com/playweb?audioid=Pff4e1ad7cdecfdb28bfeb293f5c262c3Zl58S1REYm
    Fz&amp;buffer=5&amp;shape=4&amp;fc=CC9999&amp;pc=CCFF33&amp;kc=FFCC33&amp;
    bc=CC6699&amp;size=28&amp;player=bp05&amp;link=1" height="28" width="100" frameborder="0" scroll="no" scrolling="no"></iframe><br /><a href="https://www.audioacrobat.com/export/Pff4e1ad7cdecfdb28bfeb293f5c262c3Zl58S1REYmFz.mp3" target="_blank" rel="enclosure"><img src="https://www.audioacrobat.com/images/buttons/downloadmp3.gif" width="72" height="16" border="0" /></a></div>
    <p> <!-- AudioAcrobat.com Player code END --></code></p>

    Now I’m really confused. Every time I attempt to enter the <code> --- </code>
    tags into the html editor, it truncates the entire thing, including part of the html copied from Audio Acrobat. What's up.

    This is the code I'm entering:
    <code><!-- AudioAcrobat.com Player code BEGIN -->
    <div class="aaplayer"><iframe src="https://www.audioacrobat.com/playweb?audioid=Pc0f7b55efe5476abe27d06038b13911fZ199RFREYmBx&buffer=5&shape=2&fc=FFCC00&pc=AAAAFF&kc=888800&bc=FFFFFF&brand=1&player=bp14" height="32" width="84" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe><br/><a rel="enclosure" href="https://www.audioacrobat.com/export/Pc0f7b55efe5476abe27d06038b13911fZ199RFREYmBx.mp3"><img src="https://www.audioacrobat.com/images/buttons/downloadmp3.gif" width="72" height="16" border="0" alt="MP3 File"/></a></div>
    <!-- AudioAcrobat.com Player code END --></code>

    And this is how it’s getting truncated (notice that it’s moving the closing tag to the first line and cutting off much of the AA code.

    <!-- AudioAcrobat.com Player code BEGIN -->
    <div class=”aaplayer”><iframe width=”84″ scrolling=”no” height=”32″ frameborder=”0″ src=”https://www.audioacrobat.com/playweb?audioid=Pc0f7b55efe5476abe27d06038b13911fZ199RFREYmBx&buffer=5&shape=2&fc=FFCC00&pc=AAAAFF&kc=888800&bc=FFFFFF&brand=1&player=bp14&#8243; /></div>
    `

    Ok. If anyone is interested, in order to add those <code></code> tags to the code you have to use the old – non wysiwig editor, otherwise WP helpfully rearanges your code.

    Looks like it’s working now with that fix.

    Hi Edward,
    I’ve just come across your scenerio and I am having the same challenge. Did you ultimately fix the issue? If yes, can you or someone else reading this walk me through fixing it? It’s been frustrating for me as well. Any information that you can give me would be extremely helpful and appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Herb
