Hi, can somebody explain to me why our product attributes are showing in WordPress / Yoast SEO / Settings / Categories & tags?

In my opinion they should not be there.

I also see the attributes in sitemaps (for example: xxxxxx.net/pa_battery-voltage-sitemap.xml). Is that correct?

    Thanks.

    Hello @mkwadraat,

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. It’s possible to prevent your product attributes from showing in the Yoast SEO plugin UI settings. When creating the attributes, uncheck Enable Archives. It won’t also create a sitemap for it.

Content types that have arcchive disabled will not show up or have a sitemap.

    Hi @maybellyne,

Thanks, so it’s not possible to change this for existing attributes?

    I need to re-create them all? ??

Yes, you can without re-creating. Simply edit the attribute and uncheck Enable Archives.

I can only see the checkbox for adding a new attribute. I can not find it for existing attributes. Can you explain where it is?

Did you click on an existing attribute to edit it? Here’s a screenshot of what mine looks like.
