Thank you for sharing the screenshots.

This is good news and it proves that the data is safely stored in the database. I suspect that there is some kind of conflict among the plugins or theme that is preventing the normal functions of WooCommerce.

The best way forward will be to set up a staging site.
Since your site has big number of products and variations, I will recommend contacting your web host and asking them to set up a staging site.

Or you can use a free WP Staging to set up a staging site yourself given there is enough space on your server to host two sites.

Having a staging site will give you the freedom to disable all other plugins and themes and test the site on default settings.

Hi Z.Z,

I’ve just set up the staging site (again??); https://kranen-shop.nl/kranen-shop-nl/. I’ve deactivated all plugins except for woocommerce, and changed the theme to: twenty twenty-two.

Still, as you can see you can’t choose a variation, and all the attributes are still invisible except for two. Check the product here: https://kranen-shop.nl/kranen-shop-nl/?product=7066-fay-xs-links-half-vrijstaand-bad-155×80-mat-wit.

This is a very strange problem.
But I am here to resolve it with you.

Let’s start by deleting all other products and leaving only two products:
– One that is working fine with variations.
– Second that is not working fine with variations.

Then export all two products and share the CSV with me.
I will also set up a new staging site with identical settings to your site.

This way I will be able to dive deep and diagnose all the possible problems.

Thank you for your reply.

I imported the CSV file to my test site.
The file was imported and variable products were created.
But neither the Attributes were added nor the variations were created.

So I added the Attributes and created Variations manually on my test site.
Then I exported the CSV file and compared it with the CSV file you sent.

I noticed there is a difference in column names which may be causing the problem.

Here is a screenshot for your reference.
The top one is your CSV file and the bottom one is the CSV file I exported after manually creating the variations.

Is your CSV exactly as it was exported from WooCommerce?
Which steps do you follow to create the CSV?

After updating to WooCommerce 8.6.0, all product attributes and variations have disappeared, both on the frontend and backend of the website.

A couple of things to note:

Per the screenshot in your last message, it appears that a 3rd party plugin is utilized for importing/exporting products at the site
Meanwhile, not only I cannot find it in the original System Status Report (SSR) that was provided with the inquiry in this thread, but WooCommerce version 8.7.0 is released

To clarify, did you already have a chance to test with updating to WooCommerce version 8.7.0, and see if the issue persists, or otherwise?

Moreover, feel free to reach out to the 3rd party import/export plugin’s support channel (linked here), as they would be in a better position to assist you — we can only provide support when using the core functionality of WooCommerce.

We look forward to your response. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Thank you for your reply, the original SSR is in the first post, but i wil post a new SSR in this post. The update didn’t fix the problem. The import/export isn’t the problem. I added 99% of the products manually and the variations and attributes always worked untill the update.

Thank you for your reply.

I reviewed the CSV file you provided and I can see that this product has variations in the CSV. However, when I visit the product link, I do not see any variations to choose from.

Since you already have created a Staging site, I suggest disabling all the plugins except WooCommerce and WP Staging and switching the theme to the Storefront theme.

This will allow us to see if any other plugin or code is interfering with the default WooCommerce functionality.

Let me know once you have disabled the plugins and switch the theme. ??

Thank you for the additional details. Have you updated to the latest WooCommerce version already? If you have and you’re still having issues with the Attributes, please try running a conflict test to learn more.

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each to see where the issue is coming from.

Some important considerations:?
— Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality, or you can consider using a service like?Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

— Also, you can consider using a plugin like?Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community, and it is helpful to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

— It is also important to consider staging functionality in case you would not like to touch your production site (you can ask your host if they offer this service), or you can use WP Staging to spin up a new test site quickly.
