Great plugin, and even better is the continued support and development ??

One thing I’ve noticed is ‘results’ and ‘autosave’ attributes in the search form (view.php) cause a validation error. I’ve removed them and it doesn’t seem to have caused an issue. Perhaps the data- html5 markup can be used instead?

  • Hi iltdevunit,

I wouldn’t be able to use the data-* html 5 markup for the results and autosave attributes.

They are used to get the search box to display as a search specific box, as per this post:

    https://css-tricks.com/webkit-html5-search-inputs/

However, I can of course remove the ‘results’ and ‘autosave’ attributes from the from in a future version. I’ll take a look into it further and what validation errors show up etc. and then make a decision based on this.

    Many thanks

    Peter

    Hi Peter

I’m joining in on the compliments – it’s really a great plugin, and all the options to control it from the admin are wonderful.

But I too am concerned about the lack of validation due to the autosave and results attributes. If it’s easy to fix, I’d appreciate it.

I accidentally clicked the Resolved button, but I didn;t mena to – this of course isn’t resolved at all, and also I didn’t open the issue, so it’s not mine to close…

    Hi Lea,

Not a problem, this is actually removed in the next beta version and should be released over the coming weeks so please take a look for this.

    Many thanks

    Peter
