• Hi,
I use #_ATT in my custom formats in the Formatting tab. They are fine and show up before updating to 6.0. I am on 6.1.2.1 and have Advanced Mode enabled. I can see all my previous formats (event lists and single event page) under the Formatting tab. All #_ATT are still there. But the contents for these #_ATT fields are not displayed on the front end.
    Can someone help please?

    Maybe try this:

–> Update EM to latest version: 6.1.3

    –> Navigate:
Events > Settings > Events> Single Event Page > YES Override Default Formats

    and

Events > Settings > Locations > Single Location Page > YES Override Default Formats

Thanks April for your suggestion. I did all that and the issue still persisted. Did your #_ATT fields works for you in the new ver 6 s?

    Franco,

Not until the recent EM 6.1.5 update with “Super Advanced Mode” that works. Now thankfully all of my #_ATT fields are all displaying as they did before v6.

If you wish to revert to the original concise mini calendar widget, paid support recommended doing this and it works perfectly:

    PATH:

    your website

    public_html

    wp-content

    themes

    theme-child

    create new:

    “plugins” folder

    “events-manager”

    “templates”

->add copy in version 5 file:

    “calendar-small.php”`

    Thanks TreeTrail.
Enabling “Super Advanced Mode” just force EM to use all the customization from the Format tab and override all EM’s new defaults. As such all #_ATT previous I have would be retained. But then, some new styling from the EM 6.x versions will not be present. The solution I am looking for is to have the new styling from 6.xx but allow the previously built #_ATT fields to function along with it.

    francoc30,

There is also a button choice called “Disable Advance Mode”, that’s supposed to allow modifying some things and not others. But I made out better, not clicking either of those buttons. Instead I clicked the checkbox called “Enable Code Editor for Formats” (just below the tabs).

    April,
Disabling Advance Mode and disabling Super Advanced Mode have the end results of using all the new styling features of 6.xx in which all the previous #_ATT fields are ignored. Meaning all previous customized stylings are replaced with the new ones. I guess I cannot have it both ways . . . sigh.

And did you click the checkbox called “Enable Code Editor for Formats” (just below the tabs)?

Yes, that box was checked (enabled) all the time even before 6.xx. The only event format I see is the event list (no event).
Can you show me you setup printscreens of the Format tab as well as the Styling Option(Advanced) under the General tab?

francoc30, I’m checking back after being super busy. If you still need some info, let me know what. ~April

Hi @aprilschmitt27, Thanks for the reply. I did disabled the Advanced Mode and had the “Enable Code Editor for Formats”? box checked. The Single Event Page section no longer display. I had attribute fields in both Event List and Single Event Page. With the above setup, the list showed the new EM format but without my attribute fields. The single event page also showed the new EM format and without my attribute fields. In other words, the setup did not work.

At this point, I have Advanced Mode enabled and have the “Enable Code Editor for Formats”? box checked. In addition, I Override all Default Formats so all my previous custom formats are retained including my attribute fields. None of the new EM formats are used. That is a pretty !

I’m not sure if this means that you are resolved or not? If not and there are specific EM setting groups that you’d like screen printed and you list them, I’ll try to post that back. Can files be attached back through this forum? If not, you’ll need to indicate your email address.

Hi @aprilschmitt27, The issue is not resolved. I just continue to use what I used to have and wait for solutions that anyone may have. It appears EM support is not responding to many questions from users. For screen prints I can put links here but not the pictures themselves. What kind of settings screen prints that would be helpful?

Where is this EM Setting group? How can I join?

    @francoc30,

I happened back on this thread and wonder if you’re still stuck. I am no expert, but others have helped me with issues …so I try to pass the consideration for others on.

When I said: “EM Setting group”, I mean the grouping of control choices on the EM Setting pages. If you can send me something more specific, I’ll try to help.
