Hi, I have 2 distinct problems with my feed:

    – the color attribute is recognized, but not gender and age group. I tried in French, in English, and recently with a flow rule but it didn’t work.

    – Next, it concerns the categories. As all my products are present in several categories, I indicated a main category (the rankmath plugin allows me to do so) except that Google does not recognize it and takes the wrong one. I tried category, category not used for mapping, rankmath category, nothing.

I’m out of ideas, any solution?

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. Your field mapping seems fine to me so the rules you created are probably wrong. Are you sure that the values you used are present in the category_link attributes?

I’m not sure I understand. My goal in making the rule was that: when one of the products was part of the “decoration” category (in addition to the other categories where it was attached), Google attached it to another Google product category. The rule is not good?

And regarding the other rules, those concerning the gender and age group attributes, do you see what’s wrong?

My comments where for the gender and age group rules you created. You created those on the category_link attribute. Are you sure the category_link attributes contain the values you created the rules on?

With regards to the Google product category. That what you put in your feed is merely seen as a guideline for Google. There is no 100% guarantee that Google will use the category that you added in your feed. When Google thinks a product belongs better in another category than they will replace it.

    Hope this helps?

Ah OK! I put this because it’s what I found while digging through old forum topics about attribute problems… What would be the most relevant?
