• I’m looking for the ability to display the event list in an attractive way, matching the look and feel of the site, and this plugin does that. However, there’s no option to click on the events for more information or even to add a link within the widget to take users to the complete calendar. For me, a static list of events with no way to access the actual calendar is not useful.

8.14.14 – Updated rating. Appreciate the responsiveness and adding the requested functionality. Reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that you have to go to a different page to see the time and location information versus having it appear within the widget like it does with the regular Google embed, but that’s not a ‘dealbreaker.’

    Hi teresag,

I’ve just updated the plugin to allow the separate events & the widget title to be linked to the calendar (and the separate event detail pages) on the Google Calendar website.

The plugins I publish are often born from client projects, just at the end of them I decide to publish little bits of them as plugins / widgets so that if I re-use the code or update it they can be updated or installed properly through here, this is why sometimes the plugins are a little bare or not as functional because originally they were required like that.

Let me know if you have any problems ??

Thank you for your response. I did try the plug-in again and, while the links to the events did work, no matter which event I clicked on it would take me to the last event shown in the list. (i.e., If the last event listed was on October 5th that’s the event page I was taken to in Google calendar even when I clicked on events on Aug 30, September 5, etc.) I tried changing the number of events shown but got the same result each time. Please let me know if you have suggestions on correcting this. Thank you.

Sorry about that. I found a tiny error which was causing the event links to go a little haywire. I’ve fixed it now and pushed the update.
