Attracting email subscribers without a widget

    There’s a tick box for people to subscribe by email underneath the comment section – that’s all part of Jetpack.

    I can’t add widgets to my theme and don’t intend to change that.

    But I can add a link to a page where people who don’t see the comments sign-up option can go to subscribe by mail to my site.

    Has anyone reading this found a good way to add a mail subscription sign-up page? If you were doing this from scratch, where would you start?
