Attempting to update to 3.2.1, nothing happens

I am attempting to upgrade our company’s site to 3.2.1, however, when I press Auto-update it only partially loads the page (only half of the sidebar shows up) and the update doesn’t actually work. The actual page is fine, no files have been effected. I have also uninstalled all my plug-ins, thinking that might help.
If anyone has any idea what is happening please let me know.
I would rather not manually update because our files are on a server that someone else manages.
