Attack rate notification – IP / country listing false?

    Hi there,
    I got an increased attack rate notification this morning. It listed this IP address:

    91.247.38.57 (Ukraine)

    When I checked the IP address via WHOIS though, it said that it’s located in the Seychelles. Why the discrepancy? And if it’s hard to say with any degree with accuracy where IP belongs, why even mention it?

    I was totally hating on Ukrainians until I checked and am now confused as to what to think.

  • Hi @phantasmix,

    It typically means the IP recently changed country; the various data sources will update eventually. Sometimes it can take a few weeks.

    Live Traffic is the most accurate source we have in the plugin at this time.

    P.S: there’s no need to hate anyone ??
