    Hi,

Everything is said in the title. The attach=”true” setting doesn’t work because the images don’t appear on my calendar.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I may need to see your feed to help diagnose this issue. Often the feeds omit these files, in which case there’s no way to get ICS Calendar to show them. Please use the Pro Support Request Form (it’s fine if you are not a paid Pro user) to submit your feed URL and other relevant details, and I’ll get back to you ASAP.

Follow up after reviewing the source feed:

Thanks for following up. I downloaded your raw .ics file and opened it in a text editor. The iCalendar?ATTACH field does not appear at all in the file, so that’s why the?attach="true" parameter in the shortcode is having no effect.

I do see that there’s some HTML code, including images, in the feed, and I’m guessing that’s what you’re hoping to include in the calendar. I noticed that these HTML blocks are using the iCalendar?X-ALT-DESC?field. That is not a standard field in the iCalendar spec; the?X-?prefix is used by some vendors for non-standard additions; I believe this one was created by Microsoft.

I’ve generally avoided adding any of the?X-?fields to the plugin because they’re not part of the standard, but since Microsoft calendars are a very large percentage of the sources for ICS Calendar users, I think it makes sense to look into adding support for this in a future update.

Support for X-ALT-DESC was added in version 10.11.6 released 2023.10.03.
