Attachments to Replies go to wrong Post. Attachment to Topics are unnattached

    I’ve just started to use both bbPress and GD bbPress Attachments. In my testing, I can’t get attachments to work. If I upload an attachment to a Topic, in Media Library it says “unattached”. If I upload an attachment to a Reply, it attaches it to one of my Sticky Topics instead of the Reply it’s attached to. This happens even if the Reply is NOT to the Sticky topic.

    As an example:

    I have a Sticky Topic “Terms Of Service”.

    If I create a topic “test1” with an attachment, the attachment is unattached to anything (in the frontend, the backend, and in Media Library).

    If I create a reply to a topic named “My Test” with an attachment, it is attached to “Terms Of Service” NOT to “My Test”. I’ve verified this by looking in the Media, the front end of both Terms Of Service, and “My Test” and looking in the backend of both those topics.

    I can’t replicate this. Attachment is attached to the post ID provided by bbPress in the moment bbPress creates topic or reply.

    The problem turned out to be the PressPermit plugin. The author has since posted a fix for it.
