Hi All – I cannot get this to work, I have carefully read and re-read the instructions here: https://contactform7.com/file-uploading-and-attachment/

But it is still unclear exactly what I a supposed to paste into the “file attachment” box.

It seems that I have to have a file upload field in the original mail before I can attach a file to the auto responder?

I don’t want anyone to be able to upload files, I just want to attach my own PDF file to the auto responder so the person gets my file after they complete the form. (I DO get the auto responder successfully, but nothing is attached).

If I want to attach a PDF file called : sample.pdf, what do I put in the file attachments box?

    Thanks for your help.

    Jac

    Have you read this yet?

    Local file attachment

You can do it just by input a full file path in the File attachments field in the auto responder’s mail section (guessing Mail (2)?).

Thank you for the reply. I tried that, I tried every possible way, full path and partial path, and tags. Maybe the hosting provider (Bluehost) is not allowing the script to send attachments?

Like I mentioned, the auto responder works fine, the form works fine, just no attachment, and correct, I am trying to attach to “mail 2”.
