    bump

The latest version of NGG now is 2.0.14 and I see the ATP button in the visual editor bar within Posts (haven’t checked pages). It’s the last icon in the bar.

    Just upgraded to version 2.0.25

    WP 3.6.1
    All other plugins deactivated
    Running Twenty Thirteen theme
    Logged in as an Admin

    Still had this issue.

For kicks I went to the Next Gen Roles & Capabilities settings.
Changed the ‘Use TinyMCE Button / Upload tab:’ setting from Administrator to Editor. Saved and went to the post edit page and the attach to post button was there.

I then went back to the Roles & Caps settings and changed Use ‘TinyMCE Button / Upload tab:’ and changed it back to Administrator. Button was still there.

So, something was wonky in the settings. My guess is you’ll need to have a default value (probably admin) in place if the necessary settings are not found in the database.

I’m on WordPress 3.8.1 and NextGen Gallery 2.0.57 and I’m having this issue (missing attach to post button). I tried changing the Roles & Capabilities around as mentioned above, and the button still didn’t show up.

@tsukata – It would be much better to create your own topic than to add to this very old post.
