Attach Link

The point of my test here was to actually see how to “display” an image in a post.

“attach file” does not work, as the image does not appear in the post, it is by definition, an attachment.

“attach link” works in an odd way, but it works. Apart from the color issue, when I submit the form with a URL and label (title left blank) it produces this odd post:

And one final thing, I went to delete that post and get this…

If I move my mouse over this, and try and highlight text that is hidden (white) there is nothing in the box at all.

you’re reporting lots of issues, as far as I see something is basically incorrect on your end. Maybe you’ve changed the language and not all phrases have been inserted. All comes form language change, there is no mean to report all those issues, all has the same reason. Just let us know what have you changed in language settings and what language you use?

No language changes, no reason to change it. Language is still set at default (English).

For reference sake, this has been installed for less than 24 hrs. It was a default install, and then I added a few basic forums and topics to evaluate.

And, while I really think this forum is sharp, I’ve used multiple forums on WP (for this site and others) and not seen quite as many issues as I am seeing with a basic default install.

I’m still liking what I see and the potential, but the point of reporting them is to make you aware and improve the experience. People less understanding than me wont care if the issue is on your end, or theirs.

So, either these happen to be issues on my end, that I don’t see on things like: bbPress, BuddyPress, Simple:Press, and phpBB3 or they are issues in general with wpForo.

Just reporting what I see, and trying to help…

this forum is on beta stage so there may be such problems, we’ll check it again. Just let us know what theme and browser you use.

I have installed on 3 sites and 2 out of the 3 it’s been very smooth install, very smooth. I’m really liking what you have here.
the 3rd site is MS Azure not MySQL and it’s not working yet. Not sure if it will.

Ok, we made some tests

Attach images seems to be masking the wording in white on white, not sure what is controlling the color of the font.

This issue comes from your theme, the default color is set withe somewhere in your theme css files. We’ve tested on 20 diff themes and we didn’t get such problem. However we set colors of this pop-up in forum css file, so it’ll overwrite theme specific issues.

It works. wpForo default attachment system doesn’t display image attachments thumbnail. You can display image in post comment using image URL, just put it in post content and it’ll be auto-embedded.

Please leave some example, I don’t see how you get this issue. Also please note you should not use Image URL as link title, because wpForo has image URL auto-embed function, it may be rendered by this function.

This is a phrase displaying issue. We’ve already found the reason. The “Are you sure…” phrase was not inserted in phrases system.

As for the “cat” image, I cannot reproduce. In fact, 5 or more tests beyond that, the image never appeared, just the link. I’m not sure why it did on that one.

Since you mentioned my theme, the theme we use is:
Portfolio GalleryVersion: 1.0.18 by web-dorado.com

I turned the theme off, and yes I see it fixed many of the issues. It did not fix the issue with the first post “blocking” the body text box, I’ve simply told everyone for now, use IE. Can’t believe I actually said that…

It the file name is incorrect, I think you should put
