• As far as I am aware, this feature is not available by default in WP. Does anybody know of a plugin that can do this, as it is a real pain to have to uplaod the same image over and over.

    To clarify – I do not wish for the image to be shown in the post body, but to be attached to the post. I have a ‘Help’ section on our companies intranet, and for several of the articles, steps are repeated. A gallery of images that are attached to the post is then showed below it.

    Attachments are considered “children” of the post to which they are attached, so I believe you are correct: They can only be attached to one post, although certainly they can be inserted into as many posts as you want.

    My suggestion is to build a shortcode or a custom page template to call the series of images that you are using over and over.
